Sturdy strong bobby pins, more substantial than what I thought. I wish they were a bit smaller, making them less obvious in my hair. I have a lot of medium fine hair which these work well with. Pins arrived quickly and in nice packaging.I had bought 3 other brands of bobby pins, and all slipped out of my hair after a fairly short time. I have smooth, shiny hair about 40% gray, and needed something to hold down the hair while growing it out from a short style. These really hold. They are firm when separating, and you have to be moreful taking them out of your hair, since they don't slip. They even feel heavy duty, but you have to be careful not to "spring" them, meaning they don't line up as normal but are off, as you won't be able to get them in your hair properly - the reason for 4 stars rather than 5.Just what I was expecting and LOVE the colorGreat Bobby pins just thought I was getting a matte blond ish looking color but they are actually just gold.
