My boss was looking for ways to keep our store's employees' morale up during the COVID-19 crisis, and I suggested award pins since so many were going above and beyond as they dealt with unusual situations. This is one of the two styles she picked to start with. The pins are of a nice enough quality that I expect them to last for quite a while, even worn daily on the lanyards that we use to hold employee name tags. They are metal, and the surface has a clear, glossy coating that gives it a professional look and feel. The pin itself is mounted securely to the back and the clasp holds tightly enough that I couldn't easily pull it loose without pinching the release tabs, so these shouldn't fall off and get lost. The price is quite reasonable if you get the 12-pack, especially considering that these will give a little burst of encouragement every time the recipient sees it and remembers that they are personally appreciated. We sometimes buy the staff pizza on especially hectic days, and considering that a pin costs about the same as a serving of pizza but continues to work day after day, the value is obvious. As a small business that sells fun products, we appreciate the casual tone of this pin design, compared to some of the more formal, corporate-feeling designs out there. These should be a real spirit-lifter for our crew.
