It's a little hard to push them through the fabric because the pun bend.Perfect for crafting. I love the color purple.I needed large pins to hang a display on a table cloth and my colors were red, white and blue. Worked perfectly .I bought these diaper pins in three colors with the intention of turning them into a "bow" on a baby gift. I wrapped my gift in a receiving blanket (instead of using wrapping paper), and I needed to use some of the diaper pins to pull the edges of the receiving blanket together to enclose the gift. The receiving blanket I chose was made of 100% cotton (which I assume would be the same material used for cloth diapers if people still use those). These diaper pins were extremely difficult to push through the fabric. I brought out my old-time needle sharpener in an attempt to sharpen the points of the pins to make them easier to pierce the fabric, and I discovered it didn't help much. I used so much force trying to push one of the pins through the cotton fabric that I actually bent the pin. I was having to push so hard on the pins that I was really scared I might injure myself if a pin suddenly went through the fabric when I wasn't expecting it to do so. I eventually got my gift "wrapped" in the receiving blanket using about eight of the pins, and I threaded the most of the rest of the pins onto fishing line and wrapped it around several times to make my "bow" and then attached it to the top of the blanket-covered gift and secured it with the remaining diaper pins (which were still very hard to push though the fabric). I'd have to say these diaper pins make a better crafting item than an actual diaper pin used on a baby's diaper.Pretty shade. I use them a lot.Can’t believe I actually returned safety pins! They were so dull they wouldn’t puncture fabric.Used for a baby shower. Worked perfectly.
